Financial Services Office

The Financial Services Office within the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is a multifunctional operation.  The Financial Services Director assists the Sheriff in preparing the annual operating budgets for the Jail and Enforcement operation of the Sheriff’s Office.  As stated earlier, the Sheriff’s Financial Service Office is multi-functional.  The Financial Services Director acts as the in-house Human Resources Manager for the 69 employees on staff at the Sheriff’s Office and Jail.  She prepares employee payroll for submission to the County Auditor’s Office, keeps all sick leave, vacation and compensation time records, along with assisting current and new employees with Personnel related issues.  The Sheriff’s Financial Services Director maintains a close working relationship with the Crawford County Auditor’s Office Payroll and Financial Services department to insure a smooth link in the Crawford County Government’s financial chain.  In these extremely difficult economic times, the tax payers of Crawford County can be assured that the Sheriff, along with his staff, strives to provide the highest standards of fiscal responsibility.

Civil Office

This office is responsible for all service of civil process according to the O.R.C. (Ohio revised code). The civil deputy works directly with all courts in the state of Ohio and receives civil process from all over the United States and other countries. It is important that all civil process is completed as quickly and correctly as possible. Improper service of process can directly affect the outcome of legal proceedings.  The civil deputy works closely with attorneys and other offices of Crawford County.
